NI Production Company Expands With Go Succeed Support

A Northern Ireland-based video production company, Speed Motion Films, is set to expand after receiving mentoring and funding from the government-backed business support service, Go Succeed.
The company, which was established over a decade ago by Damien Gallagher, plans to use the Go Succeed grant to invest in its in-house studio and drone equipment. This investment will allow the business to increase its capacity and the number of projects it can work on.
Speed Motion Films produces television programmes for broadcasters such as the BBC and RTE, as well as high-end video productions for clients including Belfast Harbour, National Trust, and Tourism NI.
Mr Gallagher said: "The Go Succeed grant has allowed us to invest in a new drone and also further enhance our studio, which is now a totally 'black out' space which dramatically improves the quality and effectiveness of our work."
Councillor Claire Kemp, Chair of the Regeneration & Growth Committee, praised the company, stating that its ability to attract major clients shows what is possible for local businesses. She added: "We are pleased assistance from Go Succeed is accelerating his plans to take the business even further."
Looking to the future, Mr Gallagher hopes the studio can become an educational asset to the wider video production industry by hosting masterclasses for businesses and individuals.
Go Succeed services are funded by the UK government and are delivered free of charge via each of Northern Ireland's 11 councils. They offer advice and support for entrepreneurs, new starts, and existing businesses looking to grow.
