Accedo Teams Up With BytePlus

Accedo has entered into a technology partnership with BytePlus, the enterprise technology services arm of ByteDance, to integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into Accedo’s media platform.

The partnership will bring BytePlus technologies spanning personalization, recommendation systems and generative AI into Accedo's streaming solutions, giving media companies new tools for content discovery, audience engagement and content creation.

The collaboration covers three areas of BytePlus's AI portfolio: personalization and recommendation technology; generative AI tools for video and image creation, including Dreamina Seedance and Dola Seedream; and ModelArk, the infrastructure platform used to deploy and scale AI applications.

Accedo plans to integrate these technologies into its existing solutions for pay-TV operators, sports organizations, publishers and content owners. The approach is designed to allow media companies to incorporate AI capabilities within established streaming platforms rather than deploying them as separate systems.

One of the key applications is personalized content discovery. As streaming libraries continue to expand and audiences face an increasing number of services and choices, recommendation technology can help viewers identify relevant programming more quickly. For streaming providers, more effective discovery can support increased engagement and potentially reduce subscriber churn.

The partnership also focuses on AI-assisted content production. BytePlus's generative AI technologies can be used to create trailers, promotional material, localized content and advertising assets, potentially reducing the time and resources required to produce and adapt video content for different audiences and markets.

Accedo brings more than two decades of experience in streaming technology and works with more than 400 media companies globally. The partnership with BytePlus expands the company's platform capabilities as streaming operators increasingly explore AI for both audience-facing experiences and content production workflows.
