Big Blue Marble To Showcase AI-Assisted Content Protection
Big Blue Marble will use IBC2026 to demonstrate new AI-assisted capabilities for detecting and investigating content piracy alongside its broadcast-grade streaming and cloud media portfolio.
Exhibiting at stand 5.A63 during the Amsterdam event, the company will highlight technologies designed to help broadcasters, content owners, service providers and network operators deliver premium services at scale, protect high-value content and modernize media infrastructure without disrupting existing operations.
Among the deployments featured at the show will be Big Blue Marble's work supporting ORF's cloud-based distribution of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The company engineered and operated the infrastructure that securely delivered live feeds to around 80 broadcast and public viewing destinations across Austria, while AI-assisted monitoring helped operations teams identify potential issues before they affected viewers.
A key focus at IBC2026 will be the company's Cloud Video Kit, TV as a Service (TVaaS) and modular streaming architecture. Together, these technologies enable customers to launch, operate and scale live and on-demand video services, with Cloud Video Kit combining video processing, packaging, playback, analytics and content protection within a platform that can be deployed end-to-end or integrated into existing media workflows.
Big Blue Marble will also preview new AI-assisted production capabilities, including automated reframing of 16:9 content into 9:16 vertical formats for mobile and social platforms, live multilingual captioning and automated highlight creation. The tools are intended to help media organizations create additional viewing experiences from existing live content while reducing manual production effort.
The company will also introduce new AI-assisted capabilities within its Content Protection Suite. AI-fraud detection analyses behavioural data across multiple protection layers, including DRM, Concurrent Access Protection and forensic watermarking, to identify piracy patterns, credential sharing and unauthorized content redistribution that may be difficult to detect using individual systems in isolation.
Rather than requiring operators to manually investigate multiple log files, the AI correlates evidence, identifies suspicious behaviour and provides explanations designed to accelerate investigations. Combined with integrated enforcement across content protection and delivery, the system is intended to help broadcasters move more quickly from piracy detection to enforcement.
Visitors will also see AI-assisted forensic watermarking workflows that analyse recordings captured from suspected pirate streams and help trace them back to the subscriber or session from which the content originated. Together with multi-DRM, Concurrent Access Protection and forensic watermarking, the new capabilities create a unified workflow spanning detection, investigation and enforcement.
Alongside its technology portfolio, Big Blue Marble will highlight the engineering and managed services that support customers throughout architecture, migration, deployment, monitoring and ongoing operations. Building on ORS's broadcast and satellite expertise, the company works with customers to modernize media operations, while InsysGO and its Professional Services team provide long-term operational support for resilient IP and cloud workflows.
Big Blue Marble will demonstrate Cloud Video Kit, InsysGO, TV as a Service, the Content Protection Suite and its wider cloud media portfolio at stand 5.A63 during IBC2026, taking place at the RAI Amsterdam from 11-14 September 2026.
