Rohde & Schwarz Unveils Advanced Test Solutions
Rohde & Schwarz will spotlight its latest test and measurement innovations at European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2026 in London, presenting solutions that push beyond conventional limits for RF and microwave components as well as wireless, radar and satellite systems.
Running 6–8 October 2026 at ExCeL London, the showcase at booth B10 will include tools designed to meet escalating requirements in electronic warfare (EW) and electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO).

At the show, we will demonstrate how our advanced test solutions support customers across RF and microwave components, satellite and radar systems, phased-array antennas and emerging 6G sensing applications. As R&D moves toward higher frequencies, more integrated designs and increasingly demanding spectrum environments, precise and reliable measurement becomes a key enabler of progress."
A centrepiece is the FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer demonstrated in a radar/EW scenario within the EMSO context, focused on DRFM‑based jammers. Paired with the R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator to simulate radar waveforms, the FSWX leverages its multi‑channel architecture to capture jammer inputs and outputs simultaneously, enabling a comprehensive assessment of deceptive signal behaviour. The new, fully integrated R&S FSWX‑KM700 pulse analysis option measures both channels in parallel, providing detailed visibility into pulsed‑radar parameters, inter‑channel differences and parameter trends over time.
A second setup extends the FSWX’s multi‑channel capability into the E‑band and up to 110 GHz for advanced high‑frequency component characterisation. In combination with the R&S®SFI100A wideband IF vector signal generator and fully calibrated R&S FE110ST/SR external frontends, the configuration supports wideband satellite component testing for next‑generation payload and link applications, helping engineers reveal true device behaviour and transcend the limits of traditional instrumentation.
The company will also present its enhanced R&S®FSWP phase noise analyzer and VCO tester platform for demanding component characterisation. Supporting residual and absolute phase‑noise measurements up to 56 GHz and featuring an improved internal reference, R&S FSWP‑B62, the solution offers high flexibility for testing synthesizers, OCXOs, DROs, VCOs and two‑port devices such as amplifiers. New options for using external signal sources as local oscillators can dramatically speed measurements — in some cases by up to a factor of 1,000 — making the R&S FSWP well suited to the development of low‑noise sources for radar, satellite, base station and high‑speed digital applications.
For high‑power testing in the Ka‑ and V‑bands, Rohde & Schwarz will debut the new R&S SAM200 system amplifier, which delivers signal power up to 53 GHz while maintaining precise and reliable level control. At EuMW, it will feature in two demonstrations: one characterising a high‑power Ka‑band amplifier with the R&S®ZNA vector network analyzer in a fully integrated and calibrated setup, and another showcasing the amplifier’s linearity in a wideband modulated scenario using the R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator with the FSW signal and spectrum analyzer.
Rohde & Schwarz will further highlight the R&S®ZNB3000 vector network analyzer for satellite communications, Earth observation and radio astronomy. Its wide dynamic range and low trace noise provide the sensitivity demanded by antenna characterisation and radar measurements. Optional millimetre‑wave converters extend coverage up to 330 GHz, including bands used by microwave and millimetre‑wave radiometers, making the R&S ZNB3000 a versatile, cost‑effective choice across the satellite and space sectors.
A phased‑array antenna test setup will demonstrate fast, accurate OTA testing and antenna pattern validation for advanced wireless and aerospace and defence applications. Featuring a 5G NR FR2 device under test, the solution combines the R&S®ATS1800C CATR‑based OTA system with the R&S®ZNA vector network analyzer to reduce test complexity, boost throughput and preserve beamforming accuracy from development through verification to production. A special see‑through version of the R&S ATS1800C with a plexiglass wall will be on display, giving visitors a rare view of the chamber’s internal CATR technology.
Addressing emerging sensing use cases such as 6G integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), the R&S®AREG800A radar target generator will showcase new capabilities. As 6G evolves beyond pure connectivity towards environmental awareness, the solution not only emulates distance, speed and radar cross section (RCS) but also generates micro‑Doppler signatures, enabling more realistic tests for applications including drone detection and supporting development of advanced sensing features.
