Triveni Digital Accelerates Brazil's TV 3.0 Transition
Triveni Digital is showcasing an expanded portfolio of solutions designed to help Brazilian broadcasters transition from ISDB-Tb to TV 3.0 at SET Expo 2026.
The company is demonstrating technologies for service quality assurance, signaling, broadcast workflow management, monitoring and redundancy, while highlighting new solutions developed with MediaKind and Brazilian technology provider Mirakulo.
Triveni said its portfolio is designed to help broadcasters manage the complexities of operating ISDB-Tb and TV 3.0 services during the transition, while also creating opportunities for new services and revenue streams.
"As Brazil enters the next phase of its TV 3.0 transition, broadcasters are looking beyond technology deployment to how they can create new services, strengthen viewer engagement, and build sustainable revenue models," said Mark Simpson, president and CEO at Triveni Digital. "At SET Expo 2026, we are demonstrating how our end-to-end ISDB-Tb and TV 3.0 portfolio is helping broadcasters, including TV Globo, manage that transition with confidence, from implementation and operations to the advanced services that will define the future of television."
Among the new offerings at SET Expo is an integrated TV 3.0 solution from Triveni Digital and MediaKind. The solution is available on MediaKind's XOS Advanced Media Processor and is designed to simplify deployments, reduce operational costs and speed the introduction of next-generation broadcast services in Brazil.
The companies said the combined solution has already been deployed by major DTV+ Brazilian broadcasters supporting a major international football tournament in Brasilia, demonstrating its ability to handle large-scale live sports operations.
Triveni is also debuting a TV 3.0 lab system bundle with introductory pricing aimed at giving broadcasters a more accessible way to evaluate and deploy next-generation television technologies.
The company has additionally introduced an RF input for its StreamScope® XM Analyzer, enabling off-air signal analysis and quality assurance for the Brazilian TV 3.0 standard.
Triveni is expanding its Brazilian market offering with TV 3.0 support across StreamScope service quality assurance and GuideBuilder® XM solutions. The company is also demonstrating an ISDB-Tb version of its StreamScope MPEG analyzer, allowing broadcasters to perform quality assurance across both existing and emerging over-the-air delivery standards.
Triveni's TV 3.0 workflow combines GuideBuilder XM for signaling, StreamScope XM for analysis and monitoring, Broadcast Gateway for scheduling and STLTP generation, and Station Manager for centralized configuration and management.
The technologies are designed to help broadcasters coordinate changes across ISDB-Tb and TV 3.0 environments, including equipment from third-party vendors, while maintaining redundancy for on-air operations.
By supporting both standards within a unified workflow, Triveni said broadcasters can take a phased approach to TV 3.0 deployment while preparing their infrastructure for advanced applications and new monetization opportunities.
Triveni Digital and Mirakulo are also demonstrating a dynamic advertising platform designed to show how TV 3.0 can enable more targeted over-the-air advertising.
The joint platform allows advertising content to be selected and played back at the television receiver based on factors including viewer location and viewing habits.
The companies said targeted advertising could help broadcasters increase the value of their advertising inventory, provide more relevant experiences for viewers and develop additional revenue opportunities during the TV 3.0 transition.
Triveni Digital vice president of product support and engineering services Kota Sribuddharaju is scheduled to discuss DTV 3.0 bitstream measurement and analysis during the SET Expo conference session “Measurements in DTV 3.0,” taking place Aug. 17 from 2:20-3:20 p.m.
Sribuddharaju will address the technical challenges associated with maintaining continuous on-air service as broadcasters adopt TV 3.0 and its more advanced capabilities and dynamic service mix.
The session will examine the role of test and measurement tools in addressing those challenges, including studio-grade bitstream verification throughout the broadcast delivery chain.
