Big Blue Marble Named Launch Partner For AWS European Sovereign Cloud

Big Blue Marble has been confirmed as a launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, enabling customers to deploy its broadcast-grade, cloud-native video solutions while meeting strict European Union sovereignty requirements.

The Poland-based company said the partnership will allow broadcasters, service providers and content owners to run Big Blue Marble’s modular video architecture on AWS infrastructure that supports EU data residency and EU-based operational governance.

Organisations across Europe—particularly in regulated sectors such as media, broadcasting, public services and critical infrastructure—are facing increasing requirements around data residency, governance and operational control. These constraints have often limited cloud adoption, leaving many reliant on on-premise systems or restricted cloud deployments. The AWS European Sovereign Cloud has been designed to address these challenges by offering a fully featured cloud environment built, operated and governed entirely within the European Union.

As part of the partnership, Big Blue Marble will begin adopting and validating its modular video architecture on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud through a phased approach. This will allow broadcasters and content owners to evaluate how key processing, protection and delivery workflows can be operated on AWS infrastructure under European sovereignty constraints, without the need for immediate, large-scale platform changes.
