PlayBox Neo To Showcase Broadcast Workflow Innovations

News Image
PlayBox Neo will highlight the latest developments across its PlayBox Neo Suite and integrated broadcast media solutions at SET EXPO 2026, demonstrating new capabilities designed to improve security, connectivity and operational efficiency across hybrid broadcast environments.

Exhibiting as a partner exhibitor on the CIS Group stand 38A from 18–20 August, PlayBox Neo will showcase enhancements aimed at helping broadcasters and media organisations manage increasingly complex workflows spanning on-premises infrastructure, cloud environments and IP-based operations.

CIS Group, a distributor and digital media systems designer and integrator serving the Eastern US and Brazil, will host PlayBox Neo's latest solutions as part of the company’s continued presence at Latin America’s major media technology event.

Among the new features being demonstrated for the first time at SET EXPO is PlayBox Neo's role-based user management system. The feature enables administrators to control access to specific functions and tools within the PlayBox Neo Suite, improving security, accountability and workflow transparency in environments where multiple users, editors and engineers are working simultaneously.

PlayBox Neo will also showcase support for Active Directory integration through LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) with SSL encryption. The development allows organisations to manage user authentication and permissions through existing IT infrastructure rather than maintaining separate credentials.

The company said the integration supports simplified user management, stronger alignment with enterprise IT standards and improved security as broadcast operations increasingly become part of larger corporate networks.

Performance improvements to the PlayBox Neo Multiviewer will also be presented at the show. The optimisation reduces bandwidth usage while maintaining video quality, helping teams operating in remote production and cloud environments where bandwidth availability and cost are key considerations.

By lowering data requirements, PlayBox Neo said the updated Multiviewer enables more stable monitoring, faster response times and reduced operational overhead.

Further workflow improvements have been introduced to the PlayBox Neo ingest process, allowing media to be automatically registered and made available for editing while recording is still underway. The enhancement reduces turnaround times by allowing teams to begin editing, producing and delivering content sooner, supporting fast-paced applications such as live news and sports production.

Through these developments, PlayBox Neo will demonstrate how its technology suite is evolving to support more secure, scalable and efficient broadcast operations across modern production environments.
