AEQ To Unveil Systel Max At IBC 2026

AEQ will present SYSTEL MAX at IBC 2026 alongside its latest broadcast solutions, introducing a next-generation call-in, multiconference and external coordination system for radio, television and other professional environments that demand efficient, adaptable and high-quality communications.

Built on VoIP technology using the SIP protocol, SYSTEL MAX integrates with IP PBXs, corporate telephony, SIP trunking services and IP telephony providers. By leveraging existing IP infrastructure, organisations can reduce operating costs and avoid reliance on traditional dedicated telephone lines.

At the core is SOLARIS for SYSTEL MAX, a compact 1RU engine with dedicated IP connectivity for redundant AoIP, VoIP and control networks. Depending on the selected licence, the platform can handle up to 128 IP telephone lines or operator extensions, plus up to 128 IP audio inputs and outputs, making it well suited to large, multi-studio radio and TV facilities.

A non-blocking digital matrix underpins the architecture, enabling simultaneous management of multiple telephone contributions without degrading audio quality. Up to 16 lines can be on a live programme at once, while IP lines can be dynamically allocated across multiple studios to optimise resources and meet varying operational needs.

SYSTEL MAX supports Dante and AES67 audio-over-IP, allowing seamless integration with modern broadcast audio infrastructures and compatible equipment, including mixing consoles, audio interfaces and networked production systems. This eases routing and adds flexibility when designing or expanding facilities.

Control options cater to producers, engineers, operators and presenters. SYSTEL IP Original pairs a PC application with an IP telephone for high-productivity radio operations, enabling task sharing among multiple users. SYSTEL IP TV adapts these capabilities for television workflows, adding access to intercom and external technical communications.

For control rooms and spaces where a separate computer is unnecessary, SYSTEL SET MAX embeds the operating application within a dedicated touchscreen IP telephone. Its 7-inch multitouch display offers direct access to call handling, supporting efficient work in compact control positions and other professional settings.

The system includes comprehensive tools for managing inbound and outbound calls, call queues, directories, scheduling, caller identification, on-air contributions and communication between production teams. Role-based permissions can be set to differentiate producers, operators and presenters.

Thanks to its scalable design, flexible control options and native integration with IP telephony and AoIP networks, SYSTEL MAX is a future-ready platform for sites ranging from single studios to large broadcast centres with multiple production areas.

It is engineered to enhance communication quality, streamline workflows and lower the cost of professional call-in, multiconference and coordination systems, providing a flexible solution that evolves with organisational needs.

Live demonstrations of SYSTEL MAX and AEQ's full portfolio will be available at booth 8.C55 during IBC 2026, held from 11 to 14 September at the RAI Amsterdam. AEQ’s team will showcase practical applications and offer guidance on implementation for radio, television and corporate communications.
