AEQ SYSTEL-IP Empowers Euronews Georgia's Communication

News Image
Euronews is a television channel specialised in international news and current affairs. Founded as a common initiative between several state broadcasters in Europe and North Africa, with the aim of offering both a national and international perspective on news, the channel has evolved into a privately owned organisation.

Euronews was created in 1991 within the framework of the then European Economic Community (EEC), with the mission of offering a European view of global news. Over the years, the channel expanded its operations to other countries, including Georgia, where it broadcasts programming focused on both local news and international news. From its headquarters and with an editorial office located in Tbilisi, Euronews has consolidated its presence in the region as a reference news source.

As part of its daily operation, Euronews Georgia has incorporated (through integrator Vision House) AEQ SYSTEL-IP system as its central multiconferencing platform. This system allows unifying all incoming and outgoing audio connections, both for the broadcasting of programs and for coordination with outside teams, thus optimising efficiency and quality in news production.

The AEQ SYSTEL-IP system is an advanced telephony solution for broadcast and multiconferencing. It stands out for its ability to significantly reduce communication costs, while improving audio quality and offering high flexibility. Its design allows easy integration with existing telephone infrastructures in each station or company. In addition, it represents an affordable investment, with a quick payback, which makes it an attractive option for media seeking to optimise their technological resources.

While enterprise telephony systems are rapidly advancing towards VoIP technology, with the adoption of IP PBXs, whether distributed or virtual, and access to alternative telecommunications providers, broadcast telephony remained until now an isolated environment, with high operating costs and obsolete technology. AEQ SYSTEL-IP breaks this dynamic by enabling direct integration of broadcast telephony with IP-based corporate PBXs. This eliminates the need to maintain conventional telephone lines dedicated exclusively to broadcast, generating greater technical and economic efficiency.

AEQ SYSTEL-IP offers extensive connectivity possibilities through VoIP technology, allowing the integration of 4-wire lines from intercom matrices or audio consoles. This capability facilitates the creation of multiconference circuits and coordination with outside parties, especially useful in radio and television stations.

In corporate environments, the system allows interconnecting conference rooms or auditoriums, as well as routing audio between different spaces and even with remotely located simultaneous translation systems, providing a flexible and scalable solution for multiple communication needs.

Euronews Georgia also has a complete AEQ CROSSNET intercom system, which has greatly facilitated integration with its new AEQ SYSTEL-IP system. This interoperability has been possible thanks to audio over IP (AoIP) connections under the AES67 and Dante standards, which allow direct, reliable and technically uncomplicated connectivity between the two systems.
