Bitfocus Secures Minority Investment From Corsair

Bitfocus, the specialist in media control and monitoring solutions, has received a minority investment from CORSAIR Gaming Inc, providing additional resources to support the company’s continued expansion, particularly across Europe and North America.

Corsair is a provider of high-performance equipment for gamers, streamers and content creators, with its portfolio including Elgato, a long-term Bitfocus partner. The partnership has centred around the combination of Elgato hardware control surfaces with Bitfocus software solutions, including the company’s original Companion platform.

Companion became widely recognised as a complementary solution for Elgato Stream Deck devices, enabling users to create customised control interfaces. Bitfocus has since developed Buttons, an enterprise-focused platform built on Companion technology, extending the concept into professional media environments.

The Stream Deck Studio is now the first hardware controller specifically designed for use with Buttons, continuing the relationship between the two companies and providing a dedicated interface for professional workflows.

Buttons acts as a workflow designer and software-defined management layer, allowing complex multi-vendor technology environments to be controlled through a secure and simplified interface. The platform is now used across a range of sectors, including broadcast, AV installations, live events, corporate environments and houses of worship systems.

The technology is also used by premium sports broadcasters in Europe and North America, where it provides flexible and reliable control of complex media systems supporting live content delivery.

Bitfocus’ Connections Program brings together key technology partners to support the ongoing development of Buttons, with companies including Sony, Sennheiser, Bolin and Utah Scientific actively involved in the platform’s evolution.

The investment from Corsair is expected to provide further support for Bitfocus as it continues developing its media control solutions and expanding its presence in professional production markets.
