Bitfocus Buttons Wins Another Top Industry Award

News Image
Buttons Enterprise, the latest release from Bitfocus, the specialist in media control and monitoring, has brought home another prestigious industry award. It has now been recognised as the best control system in the rAVe Best of Infocomm Awards 2026.

Producers of live shows – broadcasts, music, corporate, sport, houses of worship, events – are responding to audiences with ever greater creativity, innovation and engagement. That can result in complex technology stacks to support the creativity, which adds to the operational costs and risk.

Buttons steps in by providing a simple, completely reliable and secure realtime environment which provides a single point of control over virtually any device used in professional AV today. Users can build their own workflows and define their own control surfaces. At showtime, Buttons automates all the underlying technology, giving the operators just the controls they need, fully confident that the show will run flawlessly and securely.

2026 has seen the release of Buttons version 1.6, known as Buttons Enterprise. This adds powerful, scalable capabilities for larger and more complex productions, including non-stop performance from parallel redundant processing and enhanced tools for teams working across more demanding environments. Already regarded by many as the industry standard in pro AV control, this new version brings comprehensive functionality to any scale of production.

“Our users increasingly rely on Buttons as their workflow, management and control environment, because they know they can trust us to deliver,” said Ole-Andreas Løvland, Bitfocus CEO. “It is exciting and delighting that we are now collecting awards for Buttons. It was great that the rAVe judging panel got what we are doing with Buttons, and realised its full potential and the breadth of its market reach.”

At the heart of Buttons is a huge and growing library – currently more than 750 connections – of interfaces to almost any piece of AV equipment. More than just triggers, the Buttons environment allows intelligent control of each device, even if it does not directly support automation, and it allows multi-vendor environments to be managed transparently, with a volley of actions across disparate devices fired from a single key press.

Buttons creates secure and protected user interfaces, on tablets and computers, and on dedicated control surfaces like the Elgato Stream Deck. It provides a high level of security and readily links to enterprise single sign-on environments, and authentication including tokens, passkeys and WebAuthn.
