TVC Delivers Integrated AV Technology

TVC Technology Solutions has completed the installation of a fully integrated audiovisual and entertainment technology platform at Mega City Slough, a new £11 million indoor entertainment destination bringing together multiple attractions under one roof.

The newly opened, multi-floor venue features bowling lanes, a large arcade, laser tag, virtual reality experiences, restaurants, bars, private karaoke rooms and a range of interactive attractions. TVC was responsible for designing and delivering the venue-wide technology infrastructure, including digital signage, hospitality television, AV-over-IP distribution, zoned audio and integrated karaoke systems.

The project was completed ahead of the venue's official opening, with all systems installed, commissioned, tested and staff trained before launch. The installation adds to TVC's portfolio of large-scale entertainment projects, which includes work for F1 Gaming Arcades and flagship Hollywood Bowl venues.

Rather than deploying standalone entertainment systems, the installation was designed around a connected technology platform capable of managing content, audio and entertainment experiences across all three floors. The objective was to simplify day-to-day operations while providing the flexibility to accommodate future expansion.

To support customer communications and promotions, TVC installed a network of iiyama ProLite commercial displays in 43-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch formats throughout bars and customer-facing areas. The digital signage system provides centrally managed messaging for food and beverage promotions, attraction packages, events and venue information, operating independently from entertainment displays.

The company also deployed LG hospitality televisions across bars, seating areas and attraction zones. The system enables live television, entertainment programming and venue information to be displayed throughout the complex, while allowing content to be synchronised across the venue or tailored to individual areas.

At the core of the installation is a WyreStorm NXT AV-over-IP distribution platform, providing flexible routing of television and media sources to individual displays or venue-wide. The infrastructure has been designed with additional capacity to support future content streams and entertainment offerings without requiring major upgrades.

One of the project's key features is the installation of seven private karaoke rooms, each equipped with a 55-inch Mitchell & Brown display, the Singa Karaoke platform, a professional audio system and dedicated microphones. The rooms are fully integrated into the wider AV network, enabling background music, paging and venue announcements to be delivered when required.

TVC also implemented a zoned audio system spanning bowling lanes, arcade areas, bars, Laser Quest and communal spaces. Using commercial loudspeakers, subwoofers and centralised audio processing, each area can maintain its own atmosphere while remaining connected to the venue's communications network. Local wall controllers and paging stations provide staff with straightforward control over audio levels, source selection and announcements.

With Mega City Slough now operational, the project represents another significant entertainment and hospitality installation for TVC Technology Solutions, highlighting the growing demand for integrated AV platforms that combine customer engagement, operational efficiency and scalability within large multi-attraction venues.
