Xpeak intercom technology and AEQ's Virtual Matrix were used to knit together SBT's headquarters in Brazil, production teams in the United States, the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Dallas and transmission partner NSports, enabling seamless cross-border collaboration.

LineUp, AEQ's partner in Brazil, deployed an intercom setup based on AEQ's Xpeak platform to support SBT’s (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão) coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026, keeping crews in constant contact throughout the tournament.

The network delivered uninterrupted communication between SBT’s base in Brazil, teams working in the US, the IBC in Dallas and NSports, streamlining co-ordination across all broadcast operations.
At SBT's headquarters, Xpeak IF interfaces bridged the broadcaster's existing DELEC intercom with AEQ's communications network. In the United States, the same approach integrated the RTS intercom fitted to the outside broadcast vehicle working at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

From the IBC in Dallas, operators used Xpeak Virtual — AEQ’s software-based communications tool — to stay in continuous touch with the OB unit, SBT’s Brazilian headquarters and NSports teams. NSports Brazil also joined the network via Xpeak terminals, enabling real-time collaboration across all stakeholders.
This design allowed geographically dispersed crews to function as a single intercom system, smoothly unifying different intercom brands within one production workflow.

The versatility of the Xpeak platform, combined with the integration features of AEQ’s Virtual Matrix, delivered a communications ecosystem tailored to the demands of one of the world’s largest sporting events.
