AEQ XPEAK With RTVE In The Most Important Sporting Events Of 2024

This summer has been a great sporting season for RTVE, which has included in its programming full broadcasts of the matches of the Men's European Football Championship 2024 in Germany and, currently, the Paris 2024 games.

In total, a total of 51 matches were played at the European Championship, which RTVE broadcast on its channels: La 1, La 2, Teledeporte and RTVE Play. On the other hand, in order to fully cover the biggest sporting event of the year, both La 1 and La 2 and Teledeporte will provide their viewers with 400 hours of content from Paris and other venues, so that we do not miss any competition.

For the technical coordination of these large projects, RTVE has made an important deployment supported by AEQ XPEAK IF interfaces as a link between the Intercom systems previously installed at the Trocadero SET, IBC and their corresponding sites in Spain.

The Xpeak_IF interface bi-directionally interfaces the Xpeak intercom system to 4 external audios, in analogue, USB digital, or IP Dante/AES67 formats. It is the perfect complement to work with camera or PA systems, RF intercoms, sound consoles, and others. In addition, it also adds 4 GPI and 4 GPO to the system.

AEQ XPEAK is an intercom system that incorporates virtual network technology, through a wizard for automatic global interconnection, which avoids the difficulties of creating the virtual network and configuring the devices to work in it.

Thus, different hardware or software user panels are interconnected, as if they all resided in the same physical production centre, whether they are on the same LAN or are scattered in different locations with Internet access. No static IP or dynamic DNS is required, and no port forwarding needs to be set up, because each user panel is automatically configured according to the local network at its location. It works out of the box in all network environments, even in very restrictive networks. AEQ XPEAK includes physical rack and desktop panels, as well as wired and wireless fobs.

The use of IP technology throughout the project allows for great versatility in the operation, with an infinite number of changes in real time to adapt to the agile and dynamic production required for the live broadcasting of competitions.
