WorldCast Systems Launches Audemat MC6 v1.4 with Enhanced DAB Mobile Analysis
WorldCast Systems has released version 1.4 of its flagship Audemat MC6 test and measurement platform, introducing critical upgrades for both mobile broadcast field campaigns and automated laboratory testing.
For field operations, the v1.4 software integrates enriched embedded data to enable deeper Single Frequency Network (SFN) analysis, allowing engineers to track network synchronization and transmitter contributions during real-world driving conditions. Additionally, WorldCast Systems has expanded its objective GoldenEar audio quality analysis tool from FM to mobile DAB/DAB+ environments, generating simple reception quality scores alongside traditional RF and modulation parameters. For laboratory and manufacturing settings, the update introduces built-in analog, AES, and MPX signal generation alongside a new Automatic Lab Measurements module featuring distortion analysis, which can be fully automated using Telnet remote control interfaces.
Version 1.4 introduces major improvements to DAB and DAB+ field analysis, particularly for mobile measurement campaigns. The MC6 now integrates enriched embedded data for advanced Single Frequency Network (SFN) analysis, offering deeper visibility into transmitter contribution and network synchronization under real driving conditions.
In addition, GoldenEar — the renowned objective FM audio quality analysis technology — is now available for mobile DAB measurements. It delivers a simple and objective reception quality score alongside RF and modulation parameters, enabling more accurate and actionable network optimization.
Beyond field measurements, v1.4 further expands the MC6’s role in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
The unit now integrates analog audio, AES audio, and MPX signal generation, providing precise reference signals for calibration and equipment alignment while reducing dependence on external generators.
The new Automatic Lab Measurements module adds distortion analysis, and remote control via Telnet enables seamless integration into automated test benches, site or factory acceptance testing workflows.
With version 1.4, the Audemat MC6 reinforces its position as a unified solution for advanced FM and DAB+ mobile analysis and lab-grade testing. “Version 1.4 reflects the close collaboration we maintain with broadcasters and regulators who increasingly rely on the MC6 in both the field and the lab. Their feedback directly shaped these enhancements, from advanced DAB+ measurement to integrated signal generation and automation. Our goal is to provide a single, versatile platform that supports network deployment, optimization, and production testing with maximum efficiency and confidence.” said Gregory Mercier, Director of Product Marketing at WorldCast Systems.
The Audemat MC6 v1.4 upgrade is available immediately and is included for all customers with an active service contract. The new software modules can be purchased and activated through a simple license key.
