Clear-Com Unveils Major Arcadia And Eclipse HX Upgrades
Clear-Com has announced substantial enhancements to its award-winning Arcadia Central Station and updates to the Eclipse HX Digital Matrix System, now powered by the latest EHX v15 software.
The releases aim to expand scale, flexibility and network resilience across the company’s intercom portfolio.
The move reinforces Clear-Com's drive towards a unified communications platform, integrating wired, wireless and IP-based workflows to support everything from single-site productions to globally distributed operations.
EHX v15 brings broader configuration options, higher overall capacity and greater network resilience to Eclipse HX, and enables the debut of ARC (Access, Resource, Configuration).
ARC introduces a new system architecture that shifts intercom design towards a more flexible, software-defined model. By decoupling hardware from system behaviour, it allows systems to adapt dynamically to users, workflows and environments in real time.
This architectural change is designed to use resources more efficiently, remove traditional hardware constraints and cut complexity and cost, while increasing capability. In many scenarios, customers can gain markedly greater functionality with fewer resources than with conventional intercom designs.
Built on three layers — Access, Resource and Configuration — ARC provides a more intelligent, user-centric framework: Access enables secure, identity-based entry so users can log in and work across devices and locations; Resource supports dynamic allocation of capacity via floating or fixed assignments to boost efficiency, scalability and resilience; Configuration applies role-based workflows so users can move between panels, beltpacks and virtual clients while retaining consistent communications and behaviour.
Together, these layers eliminate legacy hardware limitations to deliver a more agile, resilient and scalable intercom experience suited to modern, distributed production environments.
With expanded support for the FreeSpeak family and the latest high-density keypanels, users can now assemble larger, more adaptable systems with increased endpoint density. Overall capacity now supports up to 424 registered beltpacks with as many as 255 online simultaneously, addressing more complex and demanding communications needs.
Collectively, the upgrades further position Eclipse HX as a robust, modular solution that operates natively across analogue, digital and IP infrastructures.
Arcadia Central Station gains new features that strengthen its role as a flexible, all-in-one intercom hub for broadcast, live production and other fast-paced use cases. New capabilities include IFB support to extend programme audio and monitoring workflows, plus support for AES67-enabled panels to improve interoperability in IP-based environments.
Arcadia continues to work with a broad range of Clear-Com endpoints, including FreeSpeak wireless systems, HelixNet wired beltpacks, V-Series keypanels, V-Series-Iris-X keypanels and analogue (2-wire) partyline — all within a single, scalable platform.
