PlayBox Neo Boosts AIS PLAY With New Playout And CG Automation

News Image
Thai football fans streaming their favourite teams online will now enjoy an enhanced viewing experience thanks to a major new installation by PlayBox Neo for MIMO Tech.

The upgrade extends the playout capabilities of the streaming platform AIS PLAY, allowing the delivery of Thai League football content directly to fans across multiple devices.

MIMO Tech Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Advanced Info Service Public Co., Ltd. (AIS) and a leading IT operator for video streaming and sports content in Thailand, has doubled its channel capacity from three to six, transmitting high-definition content over AIS PLAY for set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, and Smart TVs.

The new deployment, headquartered in Bangkok, includes six PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box systems for playout and CG with automation, managed centrally via the MultiPlayout Manager. This investment enables viewers to follow full matches and game highlights seamlessly, reinforcing AIS's position as a premier hub for sports and entertainment in Thailand, alongside coverage of global events such as the NBA, NFL, PGA, LPGA, DP World Tour, and ATP tournaments.

"This exciting project was coordinated by PlayBox Neo's local dealer Trinergy Media Co.Ltd which provides a wide range of broadcast media engineering services. We are delighted to have partnered with them to support MIMO Tech for this exciting project for AIS PLAY," said Nut Deesamer, PlayBox Neo Branch Director, Thailand. "PlayBox Neo is the reliable technology of choice being used by major Thai broadcasters to manage high-stakes content, including streaming and satellite broadcasting. This collaboration enables AIS PLAY to offer robust, efficient, and state-of-the-art playout solutions, allowing them to manage complex, multi-channel environments, including 4K-UHD optimisation with efficiency and speed. We look forward to supporting them now and in the future."

PlayBox Neo's Channel-in-a-Box platform combines AirBox Neo for automated content streaming and broadcast playout with 4K-UHD optimisation, alongside ListBox Neo scheduling, TitleBox Neo interactive CG, Ingest content management, and Media Gateway live delivery. Supporting multi-resolution playout in 4K, HD, and SD, the solution ensures high levels of security, reliability, and performance for complex streaming environments.
