Dalet Flex LTS Launch Introduces Semantic Search and Advanced Adobe Integration
Dalet has rolled out a significant update to Dalet Flex, introducing the Dalet Flex LTS release. The upgrade deepens usability across the platform, speeds up editing and collaboration, and lays the groundwork for agent-driven experiences with Dalia, Dalet's agentic AI solution. It follows the workflow packages and UX refinements delivered in 2025 and targets broadcasters, sports organisations, brands and agencies seeking faster, more intuitive media operations.
Dalet Flex is designed for rapid deployment and ease of use, broadening access to professional media workflows across entire organisations. Broadcasters, sports teams and brand-led content operations use the platform to ingest, create, manage and deliver media with enterprise-grade governance and performance.
"This release allows Dalet Flex to support media wherever it's created and distributed," said Aaron Kroger, Director of Product Marketing, Dalet. "For broadcasters, that means expanding laterally across the enterprise to support more teams, workflows, and content types, without adding complexity. For marketing, brand, and content teams, it removes complexity from media production, making it easier to create, manage, and reuse high-quality content with professional-grade tools. At the same time, this release introduces core capabilities that prepare customers for the next phase of innovation with Dalia."
A headline feature is a new semantic search experience built directly into Dalet Flex. It enables users to discover assets by meaning and context, improving access to large, multilingual libraries even when metadata is inconsistent or incomplete. Teams can combine semantic queries with precise metadata filters such as rights, region, format and resolution to reach usable content more quickly.
"With semantic search, users no longer need to know the data model, the metadata schema, or which fields were used to tag content. They just describe what they're looking for. This is a fundamental shift; it democratizes access to the archive, letting anyone on the team find relevant content without training on the system's data model or relying on someone who knows where things are stored," explains Erwan Kerfourn, Head of Product for Dalet Flex.
Editors see major gains through a substantial enhancement of Dalet Xtend for Adobe Premiere workflows. New capabilities include an offline mode to keep cutting during network interruptions with automatic re‑sync; a streaming mode to work with content in Premiere without downloading full files or proxies; smarter remote rendering with intelligent routing across Adobe Media Encoder resources; and broader support for modern editorial practices spanning project handling, rendering and version control. The improvements aim to accelerate work on tight deadlines, especially in sports and news, while reducing bandwidth use and manual steps.
Dalet has also continued its drive to make Flex more efficient for a wide variety of users, from production teams to marketers. The release introduces UI refinements and options such as Dynamic Tile View, helping users tailor layouts for tasks like shot selection or rapid browsing without repeatedly opening previews, while retaining the depth required for enterprise production.
Under the hood, the platform delivers stronger enterprise capabilities. Flex LTS brings improved support for large-scale IMF workflows, addressing complex packaging and distribution needs for high-resolution, HDR and multi-variant deliverables. The Dalet Ingest Portal, now available with intuitive web-based scheduling, expands secure, streamlined contribution for distributed teams and external partners.
The release debuts Dalet AI Services, providing embedded AI that runs within Dalet Flex in on‑premises, cloud or hybrid deployments. Initial features include built-in multilingual transcription, with OCR, face detection and translation planned. For organisations seeking deeper enrichment and indexing, Flex integrates with partner ecosystems and premium services to extend beyond these foundational tools.
