Hippotizer Meuse MX Delivers 52TB Of Video
A 100‑gigabit media network supported by a central 100G NAS enabled swift, secure content distribution across all systems.
Green Hippo's Hippotizer SHAPE software allowed projector mapping presets to be created and recalled directly from the console, streamlining adjustments during live rehearsals.
The set featured two large LED screens to left and right, anchored by a smaller central LED surface as the focal point. A show staircase descended to the centre of the stage, with both the steps and stage floor clad in LED panels. On either side, staggered terrace elements with LED-fronts added depth, while a full‑width LED banderole along the stage edge unified the overall design.
Video-capable LED strips were used throughout to merge lighting and video into a single visual language. Select performances introduced additional projector-based mappings, including content onto a costume and a scenic tree, extending the architecture beyond its physical boundaries.
"The stage design was conceived as a highly video-driven environment," Huwig continues. "Its geometry and spatial segmentation gave every delegation maximum creative freedom, allowing LED surfaces, levels, and spatial zones to be reinterpreted visually for each performance, while still maintaining a coherent overall look."
Working with Sunrise Studios Berlin and Creative Director Marvin Dietmann, Trust Rental handled planning, delivery and operation of the media server systems, translating ambitious creative ideas into a seamless live and broadcast experience.
The show's visual narrative, designed by Raphaël Demonthy in close collaboration with Dietmann, evolved over time to follow a continuous dramaturgy.
"The Hippotizer Media Server was fully integrated into the MA Lighting control environment," added Huwig, "allowing media playback, pixel mapping, and masking to be programmed alongside lighting cues. Console-based control is a major advantage for us. Changes can be implemented immediately — often while rehearsals are still running — without re-rendering or exporting content. That flexibility is essential on productions of this scale."
Hippotizer's PixelMapper drove the LED strip elements to keep lighting and video tightly synchronised, while the Live Masking Tool enabled fast adaptation of content to complex geometry without time-consuming re-rendering as the show evolved.
Content was supplied by individual delegations and Trust Event Engineering, which also produced the opening performance, interval acts and multiple house looks. Trust Rental supported delegation designers with creative and technical guidance, advising on setup and workflow optimisation.
"Highlights for us were the opening fairytale world and the different house looks," said Huwig. "They made optimal use of the stage and media surfaces and created a cohesive, immersive visual experience across the entire show.
"The Hippotizer MX Series Media Servers represent a significant step forward. Their performance, stability, and future-proofing give both operators and creative teams confidence on complex live productions. It will absolutely play a key role in our future media server projects."
Together, the tightly integrated media server platform, creative vision and international collaboration delivered a production in tune with Junior Eurovision’s “United by Music” ethos.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 was organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Georgian Public Broadcaster. The contest was won by France, with the song 'Ce monde' performed by Lou Deleuze.
