Maxon Releases Cinebench 2026

News Image
Maxon has launched Cinebench 2026, the newest version of its widely used benchmarking software, marking the latest update to a tool that has been central to computer performance testing for more than 20 years.

Used by reviewers, hardware manufacturers and everyday users, Cinebench measures CPU and GPU performance using real-world 3D rendering workloads powered by Redshift, the default rendering engine in Cinema 4D.

The 2026 release adds support for the latest hardware platforms, including Nvidia’s new Blackwell (5000 series) GPUs and AMD 9000 series GPUs on Windows, as well as Nvidia Hopper and Blackwell data centre GPUs. Cinebench 2026 also introduces compatibility with Apple M4 and M5 systems.

Updated to the latest version of the Redshift rendering engine, Cinebench 2026 is designed to better exploit modern hardware architectures and provide results that more closely reflect expected performance in Cinema 4D 2026. A new test now evaluates the performance of SMT-enabled CPU cores, allowing users to directly compare the benefits of simultaneous multithreading against single-threaded execution.

The software supports a wide range of system configurations, including Windows x86-64, Windows ARM64, and macOS platforms.

Maxon has also introduced updated scoring methods, noting that results from Cinebench 2026 are not directly comparable with those from Cinebench 2024 due to the adoption of newer Redshift technology and performance optimisations.

Cinebench 2026 is available to download free of charge from the Maxon website, offering creatives, gamers and technology enthusiasts a refreshed benchmark for evaluating the latest generation of hardware.
