Yospace Delivers 5.4 Billion Targeted Ads At Milano Cortina 2026

Yospace, the trusted leader in Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), delivered 5.4 billion one-to-one addressable OTT adverts over the 17 days of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, a 35.7% increase on Paris 2024 that underscores the growing importance of ad-supported streaming for media companies.

The company stitched 0.73 more ads per stream start than at Paris 2024, signalling stronger engagement with live sport on OTT. In total, Yospace inserted the equivalent of 3,675 years of ad content; watched consecutively from today, the run would begin nearly a millennium before the first Ancient Olympic Games.

Unlike Paris 2024's tentpole track-and-field moments, Milano Cortina 2026 was defined by numerous incremental peaks that collectively drove scale. Yospace monetised coverage for nine customers worldwide, several operating multiple pop-up live event channels, demanding rapid responses to shifting audiences across concurrent streams and to both global and local viewing trends.

To maximise yield across parallel live channels, Yospace applied its Orchestrator to optimise ad opportunities and deployed its advanced prefetch system to handle peak traffic. Prefetch evaluates ad server capacity and paces requests so the adtech ecosystem has time to realise maximum value for each spot.

"This was the 7th edition of the Games that Yospace has helped monetise. Each edition has brought greater audiences and a greater imperative to get the advertising right," said Tim Sewell, CEO of Yospace.
