MRMC Unveils Flair Bridge
Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) has announced the launch of Flair Bridge, a compact new device designed to transform the way operators control the company's renowned motion control robots.
The unit, measuring just two inches in length, removes traditional hardware and operating system constraints, allowing MRMC rigs to be operated from almost any modern computer.
"Flair Bridge is a game-changer for our customers," said Assaff Rawner, at MRMC. "It dramatically simplifies setup and expands flexibility, allowing operators to use the laptops they already rely on for everyday work—without compromising performance."
Flair Bridge introduces a new level of flexibility by working across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms — marking the first time that Mac computers can be used to control MRMC systems. The device requires no specialist configurations, drivers or BIOS adjustments, paving the way for faster installation and easier support on new machines.
By removing previous chipset and BIOS limitations, the device widens the range of laptops suitable for robot control and significantly enhances portability. Connectivity has also been simplified, enabling reliable operation over Wi-Fi or corporate networks.
Despite its expanded capabilities, Flair Bridge remains highly compact, powered solely by a 5V USB-C connection. It is fully compatible with all existing MRMC rigs, including legacy models.
Flair Bridge is available immediately and will ship as standard with forthcoming MRMC rigs, including the Cinebot Nano. Current users will also be able to purchase the device separately to upgrade their systems.
The development is expected to benefit both freelance operators and production teams, offering greater flexibility and cost-efficiency by allowing them to use their own laptops without compromising control or reliability.
