Bridge Technologies IP-Probe Software v3.7 Delivers Enhanced Functionality For Digital TV Operators

Bridge Technologies, designers, developers and manufacturers of advanced analysis, measurement and monitoring solutions, has released version 3.7 software for its series of IP-Probes delivering even more advanced monitoring of digital TV service quality.
The software includes new features that add to the power of the company's outstanding end-to-end digital TV monitoring solution.
Provided free of charge to existing IP-Probe owners, v3.7 delivers the ability to record transport streams (TS) into files on the IP-Probe with alarm-triggered recording. The ETSI TR 101 290 analysis capability is extended with further new functionality in the graphical user interface. ETSI TR 101 290 now provides full ATSC, PSIP and DVB support for completely global operation.
The real-time 'sniffer' has also been enhanced and the protocol view now provides a breakdown into uni-and multicast streams, as well as the number of unicast streams present on the interface.
Simen Frostad, Chairman of Bridge Technologies, said: "Bridge Technologies IP-Probes are a vital component of our outstanding end-to-end monitoring solution for digital TV service providers.
"The extra features and capabilities in this new software version extend the usability and versatility of the probes for an even wider range of users and applications than ever before."
The award-winning VideoBRIDGE series of IP-Probes provides an advanced industrial platform for converging TV services employing stream-based IP packets. Compatible with all major stream-based industrial standards such as MPEG2, h.264/AVC and WM9/VC-1, the VideoBRIDGE series offers a complete end-to-end system for the continuous quality assurance of a network containing streaming media services.
With full endorsement of the MDI/RFC4445 standard and with the innovative patented MediaWindow, the Video BRIDGE series is at the forefront of IPTV measurement and monitoring technologies.
Bridge Technologies will be at Stand 1.B29 at IBC2008. Further information is available at: www.bridgetech.tv.
