DAZN Secures Broadcast Rights For Kings League Competitions In 2026

DAZN, the global sports entertainment platform, has acquired the broadcast rights for Kings League competitions in 2026, expanding its portfolio of innovative football formats.

Kings League, the creator-led football league founded by Gerard Piqué, blends traditional football with streamer culture and digital-first fan experiences. DAZN will now stream the competitions to millions of fans worldwide, providing unprecedented access and coverage.

The platform will broadcast the Kings World Cup Nations 2026 in Brazil for free in most countries—from 3 to 17 January—excluding France, where it will be available as paid content. Coverage will include most European and Asian markets, Canada, Oceania, and sub-Saharan Africa.

The Kings World Cup Nations will feature 20 national teams, showcasing 250 of the league's top players, managed by prominent streamers, content creators, and football icons. Tournament President Ronaldo Nazário will oversee the event, with team captains including Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Wesley Sneijder (Netherlands), Arturo Vidal (Chile), Kun Agüero (Argentina), James Rodríguez (Colombia), Miguel Layún (Mexico), and Weston McKennie (USA) supporting and inspiring from the sidelines and social media. Hosts Brazil, the defending champions, will aim to retain their title on home soil.

The tournament format begins with five groups of four teams. Group winners advance directly to the quarterfinals, while second-placed teams and the best third-placed team enter the 'Last Chance' round to secure remaining quarterfinal spots. The competition will culminate in a final on 17 January at São Paulo's Allianz Parque, a historic venue in Brazilian football.
