PAZAP INTRODUCES MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS AT IBC

PAZAP are to launch a major new version of their ark-e-media content management system at IBC 2001.
Launched at IBC last year, ark-e-media is a new generation of Java-based content management system. The company have a rapidly growing user base among broadcasters and telecom operators, with the latest order coming from leading Russian broadcaster, Center TV in Moscow, as part of a major newsroom complex.
At IBC on Stand 12.321, pazap are showing ark-e-media integrated within a digital television environment. The demonstration is showing the complete management of media from ingestion of material through postproduction and near line storage to deep archiving, search, retrieval and playout.
For the first time at IBC, pazap are showing the wireless capabilities of the ark-e-media system. This allows a user to access and work with content on the ark-e-media system via the latest generation of PDAs over wireless links and is believed to be a first for content management systems. The remote user capability of the system has important applications in news as well as sports production and across a range of B2B, B2C and in-house applications.
