ARKEMEDIA re-focuses on digital asset management

Following its successful management buyout of the assets of Pazap, the broadcast specialist digital asset management company, is now to share the name of its core product, ark-e-media.
The new business started trading at the beginning of April, and has already won an order from a major British content provider.
ARKEMEDIA is an independent company, created to provide broadcasters and content owners with asset management solutions designed for the specific needs of the industry.
Managing Director, Vincenzo Roberti, said: "We knew that, in ark-e-media the product, we had a digital asset management system, which met the real needs of broadcasters and media owners today because we designed it with them and for them. ARKEMEDIA has the backing of strong financing and with an excellent management team in place we have complete control over our business and are confident that we have an excellent future."
He continued: "People have been talking about digital asset management systems for a long time. Now is the time that the talk is being converted into real implementations. ARKEMEDIA is dedicated to this industry and we have a product designed from the ground up over the last couple of years for the particular needs of the market. That is why we believe we will become a key supplier in the sector."
The browser-based content management system is modular in construction, allowing systems to be built from ingest through archiving, search, playout and re-purposing. ark-e-media is already in use with a number of major content owners and managers.
