ITN Archive slashes access fees of Granada material

Having managed Granada's footage sales business for three months, ITN Archive is announcing some bold steps to make the Granada collection more accessible.
Firstly, for a trial period until September 1, VHS viewing cassettes are to be reduced by 75% to just £20 an hour. Also during the same period, general technical fees for Granada footage are being reduced by 50%.
Speaking of the changes, ITN Archive's Managing Director Alwyn Lindsey said: "We've recently encouraged our customers to tell us what they like and dislike about the Granada collection. They're telling us that they love the footage and would like to use more of it, but that they're looking for ITN Archive to make it more accessible than it has been in the past. We're constantly looking at ways in which we can further improve our unparalleled service levels and by trying these extremely low prices, we're looking to truly open up Granada's wonderful collection."
ITN Archive has already created an archive sales text database for Granada footage allowing customers to search for Granada programmes online for the first time.
Further announcements of improvements to the service are envisaged in the coming months.
