SGL to demonstrate storage archive solution at Broadcast Production Show

Software Generation Ltd (SGL) will be demonstrating its highly successful storage archive solution, SGL FlashNet at the Broadcast Production Show on the TMD Ltd (TransMedia Dynamics Ltd) stand, number 232.
TMD will be demonstrating Mediaflex Archive, part of the full Mediaflex Digital suite, with integration to SGL FlashNet. The system being demonstrated provides broadcast and media operations with a Total Media Management solution in the transition from linear based video to file based video, including file wrapping in the new MXF format.
Over the past 12 months, SGL has formed strong links with the creative community. SGL FlashNet plays an integral part of Avid's shared storage systems offering extended storage and archival solutions for Avid Unity in conjunction with Avid Media Composer, Avid Symphony, Avid NewsCutter and MediaManager editing systems.
SGL FlashNet is designed to work with many of today's leading video server, news and media management applications. It can be used as a standalone archiving and retrieval system, or integrated directly into the application for seamless archive management. SGL FlashNet provides the data management software that provides the link between video stored as files on video servers and network storage systems, and the libraries that serve as the long-term repository. This system allows the user to move material from the server to the archive either manually or under the control of an application, such as automation or asset management. The FlashNet database tracks all video assets by a user or application assigned unique ID for easy archive management and retrieval.
