ATEME Solution Selected For 2017 French Open

ATEME's TITAN Live solution was recently selected to power a virtual reality application available throughout the tournament. The application offered a fully immersive 180° and 360° live viewing experience to tennis fans, and was created by ATEME's partner LiveLike.

Available on iOS and Android devices, it utilised ATEME's TITAN Live solution to encode UHD signals at various bit rates in order to offer the best video quality experience on tablets and smartphones to French Open fans.

TITAN Live is a high video quality, high density software compression solution, designed for cable, DTH, OTT live delivery of SD, HD and UHD content. It is a CPU solution, that is hardware agnostic and runs on any OS: Linux, Windows and Virtual Machine. TITAN Live is based on ATEME fifth generation STREAM compression engine and delivers high video quality at minimum bitrates with accelerated parallel processing. The solution also addresses current and future requirements by addressing main screens and multi-screen applications, from low resolutions up to UHDp60.
