Celebro Media Welcomes Continued Growth

News Image
2017 promises to be another year of expansion for Celebro Media with new studios, new broadcast facilities and New York.

Celebro have secured a lease on a studio property just off Times Square – offering views of the famous square as well as views downtown – including the Empire State Building. The main studio space is just over 500 square metres with additional inject studios, edit space, newsroom and production areas. As with their studios in London and Moscow, Celebro plan for a full 4K end-to-end workflow.

Celebro have also revealed a multi-million pound overhaul of their existing facility in Oxford Circus, increasing their studio capacity to offer six studios and over 100 production spaces. The firm, who started in the studio business back in 2014 with a single robotic studio, currently run four fully automated studio spaces in London for a variety of well-known international broadcasters, as well as a facility in Moscow.

Celebro Media's CEO, Wesley Dodd says the expansion is due to overwhelming demand. "Our studios are running close to capacity here so we need to have more space to offer our clients, both in terms of studios and ancillary spaces for production. By spring 2017 we will be able to offer more than 15,000 square foot of custom built TV space."

Celebro's traditional focus on news broadcasters has also expanded recently to include a number of social media based programming. Head of Studio, Jahlene Joseph says the demand for transmitting via Facebook Live has grown exponentially in the last year. "Facebook Live is bringing us an opportunity to reach global audiences on a platform to which everybody has access – more and more of our clients turn to us to get their programmes onto social media in the highest quality possible."

Celebro is also bringing to market a new offer for clients called Celebro Live. The service provides both truck and flyaway options for OBs and live events. Each facility offers a three camera uplink and can be on-passed via satellite or BT Tower, but also via a range of IP solutions including Streambox, LiveU, Aviwest and Quicklink.

Wesley says he hopes the service will prove irresistible to a broad range of clients, adding: "We know that many smaller broadcasters are unable to 'go live' due to the prohibitive cost of an OB – our innovative solution means we can offer a high quality, multi-camera broadcast at a fraction of the price of traditional SNG."
