albert Publishes Latest Sustainability Production Certification Programme

Bafta's albert has unveiled the latest edition of its sustainability production certification programme, enabling a greater number of productions to use the tools.

The new certification process aims to increase and improve accountability and engagement within production companies. This has been achieved with a more targeted approach to evidencing, reducing time requirements, and greater weighting of activities with the highest carbon saving reductions.

As part of the overhaul of the programme, albert has appointed Roser Canela Mas, as the dedicated coordinator of the scheme. Roser has worked in the television production industry for seven years both in the UK and Spain.

She said: "There are some fantastic environmental achievements happening across the industry. Our challenge is to convert these stellar examples into 'business as usual'. I am excited to be part of this project and impressed with all the work that has already been done and I'm looking forward to working with production companies and the albert consortium to develop those achievements further."
