VMI Releases New Platinum Blonde HMI
VMI has announced the release of the 1.2K Platinum Blonde HMI.
The 1200W HMI open face lamp comes with lens, stand, ballast and jumper, as well as 7m (25') cable.
It has an open face format for daylight source, which is based in the body of a conventional '2K Blonde' lamp head. VMI said the lack of a fresnel lens makes the lamp fitting both lighter and powerful than a conventional 1.2K MSR.
The near-silent flicker-free ballast supplied allows the lamp to run off a regular 240V mains supply for a lightweight and portable daylight source with known colour characteristics, and good quality of light.
Controls on the lamphead are kept to a minimum to reduce weight, and consist of a focus knob, with the on/off function being controlled from the ballast.
The Platinum Blonde is available as a complete system including lamphead with lamp, barndoors, attached header cable, and a 575/1200W electronic ballast. The ballast is wired with the standardised pin configuration.
