Octopus Expands US Operation
Octopus Newsroom is growing its business across America.
Over the last year, forging partnerships with local companies has been essential for American television news broadcasters to move to the Octopus6 Newsroom computer system. These partnerships provide for specific local requirements including training and service support. In addition Octopus6 can be set to present menus in a chosen language, including Spanish and Portuguese.
A partnership forged in early 2011 with ToolsOnAir has not only succeeded in the USA but also has been a key factor in winning business in Central America with Compañía Digital de Televisión. In South America Octopus has partnered with XV-Tech S.A. in Buenos Aires. Besides providing local support, XV-Tech’s Squid automation system is now integrated with Octopus6.
The first public demonstrations of the Squid and Octopus6 integration will be at CAPER 2012, presented by Octopus Newsroom CEO, Petr Stokuc.
He commented: "We are now actively pursuing opportunities in the South American market and so CAPER 2012 is an important exhibition to help us grow our business in the continent. We are aware that there are particular requirements for local customers and so teaming up with XV-Tech is an essential part of our activities here."
CAPER 2012 is to be held at the Centro Costa Salguero exposition halls in Buenos Aires, 24-26 October. The event is organized by Camara Argentina de Proveedores y Fabricantes de Equipos de Radiodifusion which promotes and protects the interests of broadcasters in the Argentine republic. Octopus Newsroom is represented at the show at stand G21 by its Buenos Aires-based partner XV-Tech S.A.
