IDX to demonstrate full range at NAB

At NAB 2003 Stand C968, IDX Technology are demonstrating their leadership in providing fuss-free power for those on the move, whether working in standard definition or high definition.
IDX ENDURA Lithium-ion batteries and accessories are highly reliable, with large capacity, lightweight, a small size and no memory-effect. This delivers huge advantages for SD and makes IDX the perfect power partner for the larger requirements of HD and the new-bread COFDM radio cameras.
All the latest developments from IDX’s renowned innovation are on show, including the new lightweight version of the very popular VL-2 Plus 2-channel, dual-chemistry charger/AC power unit. Weighing in at just 0.9Kg it is both light and rugged, and a real go-anywhere workhorse.
IDX continue to refine the performance of their Li-Ion chemistry with the result that the latest E-50 and E-50S battery packs now have more capacity. With amp-hours going up from 3.3 to 3.8 the capacity is increased to 55Wh. This near-15% growth involves no change in size or weight, but means more power available on location.
The ENDURA battery range is completed with the E-80 and E-80S. Both have a capacity of 82Wh and, like the E-50 and E-50S, have the benefit of V-mount connections that fit directly to most of the world’s professional camcorders, as well as some monitors. In addition, the E-80 and E-50 include PowerLink, the feature that allows two batteries to work together to provide yet more power and longer running times, a popular choice for HD.
The ET-8 ENDURA Tower Charger offers users of larger quantities of high capacity ENDURA batteries to have a quick, convenient way to charge and get them back in action. The tower works like eight separate chargers, each working simultaneously to provide just the right individual regime for each. The tower configuration gives easy access to all batteries and has a minimal floor footprint. LEDs indicate when a useful charge level and full charge is reached.
