Barco Joins Forces With China Film Group

A joint venture between a film group and visualisation company shows determination to enhance China's digital cinema market.
Visualisation company Barco and China Film Group has announced the formation of CFG Barco (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd.
The new company is a joint venture among two Barco subsidiaries – Barco Visual (Beijing) Electronics Company Limited and Barco China (Holdings) Limited Company – and China Film Equipment Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of China Film Group.
It is hoped that the newly-founded company will strengthen the local development and production of digital cinema products and services in China.
This follows China’s ambitious 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), which is based on the forecast that the culture industry will enter a period of rapid development in the next five years.
Established in 1951, China Film Equipment Co. Ltd. is a nationwide film equipment trading company affiliated directly with the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television.
Whereas Barco is a global technology company which designs and develops visualisation products for a variety of selected professional markets.
