Gearhouse Broadcast supply kit for reality Show

Gearhouse Broadcast are responsible for providing all of the equipment being used onsite for the production of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”.
Technical director for Gearhouse, Kevin Moorhouse, said: “The production is taking place in the middle of nowhere, prior to the technical and production crew arriving there wasn’t even a road in to this place. The Gearhouse fly away solution suited this production as the various working areas could be built in Porta Cabins thereby giving more operational work space for the crews for the long working hours that will be required in a production of this nature.”
The celebrities are constantly filmed 24 hours a day, with the crews working in three shifts and in excess of 200 people working on the project. Twenty-three fixed cable cameras have been supplied around the challenge area to cover all movements including robotic heads and locked off shots. Nine Sony CVX-V18 night vision cameras have been supplied to capture any exciting night activities. Gearhouse Broadcast are supplying ENG kits for when the contestants venture out of the cabled (challenge) area and into the jungle. Gearhouse Broadcast engineers will be on hand for any back up which is needed throughout the duration of the programme.
The audio production is critical as every word spoken by contestants, no matter where they are, needs to be recorded. This is achieved with 25 channels of Sennheiser radio microphones used to capture every sound, various receive points and antenna extension equipment will be utilised. The production communications backbone utilises Motorola GP 340’s hand held radios and GM 950 base stations to ensure production, operational and technical crews are in constant contact with one another.
