IPV Expands Presence In The USA

IPV, a global leader and largest independent supplier of low bit-rate, frame-accurate video technology to the broadcast and professional video sectors, has expanded its presence in the USA through a collaboration with Listec Management Services (LMS). This move has been initiated to strengthen IPV’s presence in the North American market.
The new offices, headquartered in Metro New York, will be run by industry veterans Raymond Blumenthal and Robert Polan.
With existing key US installations including the National Geographic Channel and CNN, this move also addresses IPV’s objective to provide North American customers with local representation. LMS forms a key part of IPV’s international growth strategy to provide a unified sales and support approach for its browse solutions which will be pivotal to the company’s overall global expansion.
"IPV’s move into the North American market is a significant opportunity to grow our Curator business — and provide customer service and support locally," said Nigel Booth, Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing at IPV. "We are delighted to have partnered with Raymond and Robert as they bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge from their collective 40+ year’s heritage in the business. They will help build and drive a successful business models across the US that will support IPV’s international growth plans."
IPV’s products include its Curator system, a comprehensive, browse-based tapeless workflow media system which allows communities of media professionals add value to their content; and its SpectreView solution — the de facto standard for browse resolution systems.
SpectreView is already implemented by a large number of vendors of playout automation, newsrooms, asset management and access services around the world.
Blumenthal is active with a number of industry-based committees including being the current Governor of SMPTE New York Region and a committee member for National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Emmy Engineering Achievement Technical Awards.
