Grab Announces Integrated Dolby E Audio Processing

A leading provider of automated video capture, indexing and multi-platform video content syndication, Grab Networks, has announced that Anystream Agility 2G now provides integrated Dolby E audio processing.
Anystream Agility 2G with Dolby E audio processing is designed for video production networks and broadcasters who are constrained from reselling valuable media in broadband, mobile and handheld formats because of the ability to decode Dolby E embedded audio without professional broadcast chain hardware.
In conjunction with the DP600 Program Optimiser from Dolby Labs Anystream Agility unlocks the valuable media stored in Dolby E audio as files or on tape and enables distribution and playback for cable and ITPV VOD, computers, mobile phones or other devices that don't support Dolby E audio.
Grab Networks' EMEA Sales Director Garry Thompson said: "Unlike alternative solutions, Anystream Agility 2G decodes media stored in any broadcast server and sends only audio to the DP600 optimiser for processing, which eliminates the need to convert audio and video into a format that the DP600 can ingest, which can reduce production throughput and potentially degrade video quality."
Anystream Agility 2G decodes and processes more media file formats and wrapper formats with encoded Dolby E than any other system available. With Agility 2G, the DP600 processes more file formats than it can as a standalone or when configured with other systems.
With Anystream Agility 2G, mono, stereo and surround sound channels extracted from a Dolby E track can be individually selected, remapped and mixed to the desired output to support any format or combination of language tracks.
Source content containing Dolby E audio can be mixed with other clips with different audio formats into single montage productions. Even Dolby E source segments can be individually trimmed by Agility to produce the desired output.
Multiple output formats with different audio configurations for language, format and track count can be produced simultaneously from the same Dolby E source in the same workflow. Agility 2G is more efficient than alternatives that require processing pass for each output.
Agility 2G reconfigures the DP600 for each desired workflow and output, eliminating the need to configure multiple DP600 watch folders for post processing.
Dolby metadata that enables decoders to support complicated and mixed audio formats is also preserved in the Agility 2G integration.
The DP600 is integrated directly into the Agility 2G media pipeline so that Agility 2G manages all aspects of the media processing workflow. Submission, status, error reporting and delivery are all managed and tracked within the Agility workflow, eliminating the need for custom integration or manual process steps.
