Fourth Season Of International Hit Drama Lewis Confirmed

ITV Studios and ITV Global Entertainment has confirmed the commission of a fourth season of the contemporary primetime drama series Lewis, starring Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox.
Lewis season four will begin production in July 2009, featuring Inspector Robbie Lewis and his partner DS Hathaway, investigating murder mysteries against the spectacular and historical backdrop of Oxford.
Watched in more than 100 countries worldwide, the international television distribution, home entertainment and merchandising for Lewis is represented by ITV Global Entertainment.

So, we're very excited to be announcing that a fourth season of this hugely popular and critically acclaimed long-running ITV Studios series will soon be available to our global audience."
The new commission follows on from the season three UK premiere in spring 2009, which achieved a 30% share win in primetime for ITV1. In April 2009, the ITV DVD boxed set for Lewis, season three debuted at Number One in the UK charts.
An ITV Studios production, Lewis is produced by Chris Burt and executive produced by Micele Buck and Damien Timmer and produced by Chris Burt.
Damien Timmer said: "Lewis has always attracted the best talent and this year we're welcoming back Stephen Churchett, Russell Lewis and Alan Plater as writers, with Bille Eltringham as our first director. With Oxford as our backdrop, our aim is to baffle Lewis and Hathaway with their most challenging investigations yet!"
Colin Dexter, who created ITV's BAFTA award-winning Inspector Morse is once again consultant on Lewis.
