FOR-A Flies In Kazakhstan
FOR-A UK has supplied 10 HVS-500HS HANABI portable 1 M/E video mixers for RTRK, Kazakhstan's national broadcaster.
These compact one-box mixers, installed in flyaway packs for transport around the country, are customised with a number of options contained within the standard HVS-500HS unit.
TV&C, the FOR-A (UK) systems integrator and distributor based in Lithuania, installed the HVS-500HS mixers into flyaway cases. Each mixer is complete with dual picture-in-picture, keyer and downstream keyer (DSK).
Other features include four digital SDI and analogue PAL inputs, four frame synchronisers and upconverters, and five SDI outputs. The only extra item outside the 430 x 186 x 354mm mixer box is the redundant power supply.
The RTRK flypacks resemble small studio packages, with cameras, monitors and recorders, and are designed to operate in remote country regions to provide live coverage of events. As the country is vast and sparsely populated, the flypacks also include the necessary satellite uplink and downlink equipment.
