Tektronix Showcases Video And Audio T&M Solutions At BVE 2009

Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, will demonstrate a broad range of video and audio test solutions at Broadcast Video Expo 2009, which takes place at Earls Court 2, London, between February 17 - 19, 2009.
Tektronix will demonstrate hardware and software solutions for SD and HD and will address the challenges presented by the growing trend towards file-based workflows, as well as issues surrounding audio testing including Dolby E and D, and camera set-up and measurement.
Product highlights on the Tektronix stand K14 include Cerify, the world's first fully automated system capable of verifying the quality of file-based, compressed digital video and audio content prior to transmission or use, and the portable and affordable WFM4000/WFM5000 waveform monitors and WVR4000/WVR5000 rasterizers.
In addition, Tektronix will present its expertise in the field of 3Gb/s SDI testing with demonstrations of the WFM7120 waveform monitor which provides 3Gb/s jitter measurement, an essential component to qualify the performance of cable, facilities and new equipment, and the TG700 multi-format test signal and sync pulse generator which supports 3Gbps SDI test signals as well as many analogue and digital formats. Visitors will also see demonstrations of the PQA500 Picture Quality Analyzer, the award-winning new generation picture quality analysis tool.
Tektronix will also be showcasing some of its MPEG test solutions, including the ground-breaking MTS400 series, which is the industry's fastest analysis engine, and the MTM400A MPEG Transport Stream Monitor, which provides a complete solution for real-time transmission monitoring of MPEG transport streams over RF, IP and ASI interfaces.
Winfried Schultz, Marketing Manager, Video & RF Test, EMEA, Tektronix will be presenting a session examining issues surrounding quality control in the TV Tech seminar stream during Broadcast Video Expo 2009.
'The Future of Quality Control (QC) - what happens when media goes file' takes place on Wednesday February 18 2009 at 12:30pm. Places are available on a first come first served basis and tickets can be collected from seminar registration. All sessions are free to visitors.
