FremantleMedia Enterprises Sells 300 Hours Of Programming To Latino Channels

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced the sale of approximately 300 hours of programming to Latin America since 1 January 2008.
In a sweep of Latin American schedules, FME is delivering first class entertainment, music, factual and lifestyle programming and formats to a range of pan-regional and national broadcasters.
Amongst the raft of sales secured by Sheila Aguirre, FME VP Sales and Development, Latin America and Hispanic USA, TNT (pan-regional) and DirecTV have snapped up The BRIT Awards 2008, which is set to dazzle audiences with guaranteed international red carpet glamour.
Confirmed performances so far include, Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, The Kaisar Chiefs, Mika and Mark Ronson.
Reciprocating the demand for quality live music performance terrestrials Surinam and St. Lucia take the international feed of global juggernaut, American Idol, for the first time.
The pan-regional Sony Channel also takes the seventh series for the sixth consecutive year of broadcasting, demonstrating quality, longevity and viewer demand this show supplies to broadcasters year on year.
FME’s lifestyle greats are on their way to GloboSat and Sky People & Arts including Janice Dickinson Season 2 and Project Runway Season 4 respectively.
Latino channels hungry for factual programming include INFINITO which is greening its offering with the thought-provoking Big Ideas for a Small Planet and Mexico’s Canal 11 which is feeding viewers appetites with a suite of Atlantic productions programming including: Hannibal: Enemy of Rome, Herod: behind the myth, Spartacus: behind the myth and The Mysterious Death of Cleopatra.
Ecuavsia has also opted for some factual delights including The Mysterious Death of Cleopatra, The Sphynx Unmasked and Science Times, but is also lightening things up with the live action series of Mr Bean. Finally, Brazil’s TV Escola has secured the insightful Story of 1.
Telefe is the first Latin American broadcaster to snatch the international format sensation, Hole in the Wall while Megavision in Chile is delighting audiences with an additional 50 episodes (taking the total to 150 episodes) of its version of Three’s Company (Tres son Mulitud) produced by Roos Film.
