Eyeheight AS-2MD Multi-Definition Audio Shuffler

The AS-2MD simplifies the task of re-assigning embedded audio channels within an HD-SDI or SD-SDI feed.
A second input allows embedded audio to be extracted from one feed and added to alternative video from another. Also provided is a preview output enabling the user to set up the system with live feeds before taking the configuration to air.
Complex user presets can be created quickly and easily using a soft control panel running on an adjacent or remote PC.
Eyeheight's AS-2MD employs full 24 bit audio signal processing and has a wide range of applications in HD and SD programme acquisition, post-production and transmission. These include correcting operator errors such as left to right embedded audio channel inversion and multi-language soundtrack switching in playout studios. Audio breakaway is possible using the second input, a feature which enables audio breakaway of any source if installed on an HD-SDI router.
The AS-2MD passes without interruption all ancillary data present in vertical and horizontal blanking intervals. Integral equalisation for up to 100 metres of Belden 1694A HD-SDI cable is provided. Up to six AS-2MD shufflers can be housed in a single 1 RU chassis. 20 common
presets are accommodated in ROM and a further 20 user presets can be stored in internal flash-RAM. The system is controllable via a front-mounted or remote Eyeheight FP-9 panel, 1RU Flexi-Panel or FP-10 desktop panel. Ethernet and Eyeheight I-Bus interfaces are incorporated.
