Eyeheight to introduce 'Shuftie' audio shuffler at IBC
Eyeheight's new Shuftie is a compact and versatile digital audio channel shuffler and level controller.
Designed for use in broadcast, postproduction and sound studio systems, Shuftie allows any incoming AES and SDI-embedded digital audio channel to be switched to any outgoing channel.
A total of four stereo channels (Embedded 1 and 2 on a single SDI feed plus discrete AES1 and 2) can be manipulated to any output stream. Independent level control is provided on each input channel and output stream.
Shuftie incorporates six user memories and can be configured for local, remote or automated control. The shuffler has a wide range of applications in digitally-equipped studios, including multichannel to stereo mixdown, multi-lingual track selection and left/right channel reversal correction.
Up to six Shuftie audio shufflers can be incorporated in a 1U Eyeheight MX-9 frame with integral control panel or MX-9B for remote and automated operation.
Shuftie will make its first appearance on Eyeheight stand 2.339 at IBC 2003 in September.
