U-Turn Announces Signing Of Reseller Agreement With Ring Ring Company

U-Turn Media Group has announced the signing of a reseller agreement with The Ring Ring Company, based in Belgium.
The agreement is a proactive move that will allow U-Turn to grow their presence in the lucrative field of mobile marketing, while at the same time benefiting from the experience of a successful mobile marketing player.
U-Turn will offer a branded mobile portal for Ring Ring’s clients by providing consumers with advertising and media information on mobile devices. The portal is acquired via 'texting in' to a short code, web sign-up or Bluetooth and will allow users to access streamed or downloadable audio and video clips, images, text and other value-added services.
U-Turn’s turnkey solution gives Ring Ring the opportunity to provide their clients with an interactive mobile marketing tool. This enables a direct, long term and beneficial relationship with consumers on the go. The portal is accessed by clicking on a branded icon that resides in the main menu of the phone. Advertising real estate appears within the portal in the form of banner ads, scrolling text and there is the opportunity to add pre and post reel advertising within video content. Mobile vouchers can also be offered that push consumers to points of sale by offering discounts or exclusive deals.
In addition, U-Turn’s technology includes the ability to create statistics such as the amount of time spent in the portal, time spent in each category and what content was viewed. It can also collect demographic information about the user and link this back to their behaviour in the portal. In this way, U-Turn can offer a very accurate tracking mechanism for measuring response rates and marketing effectiveness.
“A mobile portal is very attractive to the brands as it gives them the opportunity to deliver an engaging experience that consumers can interact with on the move," said Toby Downes, Head of Sales and Marketing at U-Turn. “Today’s mobile phone has become a personal lifestyle tool and the mobile portal allows companies to deliver their branding and marketing message through this ubiquitous communication device,” he added.
“Mobile interactivity is evolving very quickly and multimedia enabled applications are gaining success by the day within the Belgian market. This evolution is identified as a great opportunity and will certainly be the next big thing,” said Walter Mortelmans, Managing Director of The Ring Ring Company. “Ring Ring made the decision to trust an experienced partner rather than developing it internally, which would have taken too long to deploy. In that sense, U-Turn and Ring Ring are perfectly complementary with U-Turn handling the development of this innovative multimedia mobile application and Ring Ring focusing on opportunities in the Benelux & French markets,” he concluded.
U-Turn technology has already been successfully deployed by T-Mobile, and several TV broadcasters in the US such as WISC and WKMG, ZeeTV in India and TV Nova in the Czech Republic. This latest deal with Ring Ring supports U-Turn’s global strategy to work within the mobile marketing industry, to offer a compelling and interactive marketing tool for brand owners.
