Canon KH16ex IRSE Sets The HD Standard

HD is the coming standard in broadcast and other professional applications - Canon’s new 1/2” & 2/3” GC lenses are widening the opportunity of this next generation quality.
The KH16ex IRSE is the latest in the ½” range. It is a lens that makes you comfortable in HD, with a weight of only 1.47kg and length of just 196mm. But that small dimension puts out big performance, with a focal length of 5.7 – 92mm – or 11.4 – 184mm with the 2x extender.
Canon’s new smaller drive unit fits your hand comfortably, and lets you feel more exactly in control of the lens. The easy to grip unit is tilted at the right angle to achieve better balance, better comfort and less fatigue.
The new lens combines the best optical features of Canon lenses, including reduced chromatic aberration and high MTF, with advanced digital tools like Shuttle Shot, an advanced servo-system that makes it easy to zoom back and forth exactly between any two focal length positions.
The current complete GC range includes: 1/2”cameras, like the Sony HD XDCAM: KH21ex5.7 IRSE telephoto lens; KH10ex3.6 IRSE wide-angle lens; KH16ex5.7 IRSE standard lens; KH20x6.4 KRS lens (without extender and e-drive) and KJ20x8.5 KRS lens for 2/3 inch HD CCD cameras, the HD version of the professional SD lens YJ20x8.5.
