RADIO TIMES HITS SMALL SCREENS THROUGH ONNET

RADIO Times has signed a deal to provide branded television listings, viewing choices and programme-related content for the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) of ONdigital’s internet service, ONnet.
EPG details will be updated on a regular basis to cope with last-minute schedule changes. Viewers will also be guided by programme previews and choices compiled by the Radio Times team, whose recommendations are currently read by 3.52 million people each week.
Ashley Munday, Publisher of Radio Times, said: “ONdigital were looking for a dedicated and comprehensive programme guide for their ONnet subscribers. The strength of the Radio Times brand and the huge resources and talent we are able to bring to the project provided them with just what they were looking for.”
For £5 a month, the ONnet package provides ONdigital subscribers with a free cordless keyboard, free net top box, video and voice grab e-mail and picture in picture, as well as full internet access.
The paperback book-sized ‘net box’ reconfigures the web pages to make them sharper and clearer for the TV screen so users will not have to struggle to make out the content.
