New facility to provide on-site HD editing at Pinewood

Black Square Media have opened for business in the heart of Britain’s film production community, Pinewood Studios, with a high definition editing facility based around a Quantel eQ resolution co-existent editing platform.
This is the first eQ to be delivered in the UK, and was purchased through Quantel re-seller, McMillan.
Black Square Managing Director, Sam Clews, said: “For the past two years I’ve been working on high profile commercials and short features with a production company based in Pinewood. It became apparent to me that there would be significant time and control advantages for directors to be able to post on-site as the production was proceeding rather than having to trail up to Soho.
“The power and speed of the eQ makes the proposition even more compelling – more time saved, and more time for the director to try different creative looks and treatments. Pinewood is becoming a self-contained production and post-production village – we’re at its heart.”
