Network Electronics enters video over IP market with T-VIPS

Network Electronics ASA and T-VIPS AS have signed an agreement which gives Network Electronics the right to sell T-VIPS products under its Network label.
The OEM agreement means that Network Electronics will sell and market T-VIPS products via its offices and global distributor network.
“The agreement with T-VIPS provides us with complementary products that answer the increasing demand for solutions enabling the distribution and contribution of video over IP networks,” said Oddbjørn Bergem, CEO Network Electronics. "Our flashlink fibre optical transport platform consists of products providing large cost and flexibility benefits to broadcasters and carriers. Video over IP adds important functionality to this offering enabling us to further strengthen our position as a leading vendor of equipment for transport of signals in the professional broadcasting market.”
Johnny Dolvik, CEO of T-VIPS, said: "This is a great deal for all concerned. Network Electronics can market industry leading products in a sector that’s primed for exponential growth and more broadcasters and video professionals will be enabled to move to Video over IP for contribution and distribution. For T-VIPS the strength of the agreement is that it allows us to offer our products worldwide through Network Electronics’ offices and distributor. I look forward to a long lasting relationship with Network Electronics, as we work together to facilitate Video over IP contribution and distribution on a global basis.”
