New York Daily News installs BureauCam system

The New York Daily News, one of the largest circulation daily US newspapers, recently installed a broadcast-grade BureauCam system at their 33rd Street headquarters to conveniently transmit live interviews to broadcast stations around the country and across the world.
This new venue has already enabled Daily News' reporters and editors covering news, sports and entertainment to make live appearances on stations such as NBC, CNBC, MSNBC and CNN.
BureauCam, manufactured by Media 3 Ltd.® of New York City, is a compact, transportable fully integrated live shot control system designed for local and remote operations via network or dial-up.
When asked why the Daily News chose BureauCam, Edward Fay, VP Director of Editorial Administration said: "Our management wanted to get broader exposure for our people and increase our brand awareness. To be honest, we were looking for the simplest, easiest, fastest solution to get us up and running so we could do remote broadcasts. We looked at a BureauCam in operation at a downtown facility and it worked fine. It's a small unit, very very simple and easy to use, no big learning curve. Most of my people learned how to use it in three hours and now the BureauCam is used on a daily basis. Now our reporters can go to a tiny studio we built in our building, sit down and get connected. Yes, I would recommend the BureauCam system, because I'm a bottom line guy - if it works it works, that's all I care about."
